About Us

Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs’ Association (MWEA)

MWEA was founded in 1995 and serves as the leading association for women entrepreneurs in Myanmar. MWEA is the country focal of ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) and the network partner of ASEAN ACCESS and ASEAN ACCESS Match.

Our President

Dr. Myat Thida Myint serves as the President of MWEA and the Country Focal Chair for AWEN since 2025. She is a medical doctor who received her MBBS in 1990 and first year MBA in 1994. Currently, she serves as the Vice Chairwoman of her own company, a prominent industry leader in the construction sector. She is passionate about the promotion of women affairs. She won several awards throughout her career and is widely recognized businesswoman in the Southeast Asia.

To act as a resource organization for sustaining programs of women development and income generation activities for Myanmar Women.
Network internationally with women entrepreneurs worldwide.
Conduct regular meetings to provide members with opportunities for interaction, networking and carrying out joint activities
To organize and conduct lectures, seminars and workshops to promote awareness of women development and raise entrepreneurial and managerial capabilities of members.
